This was brought up in an earlier post but what is going on with Royal Marshall at WSB? I enjoyed his show and thought he was really hitting his groove.

I thought it was a cost cutting move to remove him, but then to add these 2 talents doesn't make sense. Or maybe he just isn't interested in doing that anymore.

Someone upstairs clearly didn't like Royal's show. He wasn't paid much for it so from that perspective, Royal is fine. It wasn't cost cutting at all.

They are placing Chris Krok in hopes that he'll start to build a following and take over for either Clark or Neal when they retire.

I hope Chris Krok does a conservative talk show about politics. It would be very original, as nobody has ever tried that before.

Obvious whoever is "upstairs" at WSB, has no clue.. I think Royal has potential, and able to get guests in to speak. I strongly suggest 'GST pull Kimmer into the chopping block and replace him with Royal. Kimmer sounds lonely, tired and boring..

I hate those damn Commies at Airhead America!!! All they do is disagree with our heroic and intellectually brilliant president.

This is a great country, built on freedom. And, if those damn Commies don't agree with freedom, they should be locked up and tortured at our torture chambers in Guantanamo Bay.

Boortz, Hannity and Rush are great Americans. And, if you don't listen to their show, you should be deported back to your own country, dammit!!!!!!

Speaking of Ike, how long has he been doing his Sunday show? Although I have occasionally listened through the years, I do not know much about Ike. Can anyone provide a little backgroung info on him? I am really curious, how has he lasted on the radio for so long? The lack of demand for anything else on Sunday morning?

I have to agree with "someone upstairs." I think Royal is smart, knowledgeable and personable. However, I think he lacked discipline at times, laughing off mike, jive talking and occasionally making sexual innuendos. I just don't feel his overall sound fit a station with the stature of WSB. I also feel Royal was too honest and objective. The really successful talk show hosts know it's about entertainment even if they have to stretch the truth about what they really think.

Hey Leon,

I hate V-103 and all "those people" who listen to it. "Those people" are always breaking into cars, and robbing people, and committing rapes. They are also lazy, and every last one of them is on welfare.

That's why I am a big fan of Boortz, because Boortz is keeping "those people" in their place. And, that is also why I've been a big supporter of President Bush and David Duke, since they are stopping those people from taking over our country.

That is a good point, but you have to admit that Clark is an anomalie. I doubt that an entire station of consumer-help hosts would be as successful as a station of political talkers...but who knows.

I think that would be a good move on their part. I try listening to the Kimmer every afternoon and that show is totally unlistenable imho. The constant laughing is at almost Bob & Tom levels. I've given that show a fair shake and it's just not any good.

The show started going downhill when they killed Sixty at 6, then got rid of Paul Harvey and with the removal of the newsmaker lines, well it's time to give Kimmer the rolex watch and head out to the sunset..
 
Well, I think someone besides "Raoul" as his producer would have helped.. needing a stable and seasoned board op/producer to keep Royal on task would do wonders. Also, with him getting married soon, I think he would settle down and be a bit more "mature".. then again look at Boortz.. the antithesis of maturity sometimes.. Royal has something I see dying with Clark and Boortz and that is passion.. AM750 needs a little oxygen and passion so it doesn't become the last haven of Roger Whitaker like in the final years of Elmo Ellis's tenure. you have to be a little fresh to keep the audience..

Rolex? From Clear Channel?! I'm guessing he'll be lucky to get a $4 watch from the bargain bin at Wal-Mart! Battery sold seperately. LOL!!!
