Klobuchar could have done that too, but it would have been seen as against free speech. That wasn't a problem in the other cases. It's the way one uses whatever tools are available to shut down a particular point of view. In the case of VCY, there are ways to use existing rules to shut them down, but then they could sue for freedom of religion. Some groups are concerned about limiting freedom of speech, and some aren't. As we see in Florida.

Did I miss something here? Have Crazy Ed's stations been sold to VCY? I don't believe that's the case, so why has this thread gone down a rabbit hole? Here's a diversionary tactic from Los Buckeye Boyz...Crazy Ed's middle name is Royce, as in Royce International. Let's stick to the subject and move on.

He had first shot at bringing 15~Hundred back to life after the license was yanked and the station went dark. The going was tough for Crazy Ed as the NIMBY's made it next to impossible to find a suitable xmttr site. Multiple extensions to build were filed, but eventually the FCC said no mas and yanked the CP. Crazy Ed is best known for his KWOD sale to Entercom which brought new meaning to seller's remorse. Talk about a radio Audacy...YIKES!
Definitely not a flamethrower signal, but I wouldn't call it pipsqueak. It's a full Class A, with 6,000 watts and a null to the southwest (not a ton of listeners in that direction anyway). Some of the Mt. San Bruno FM's don't have much more wattage (although they have greater elevation).

Yes, but remember that height on FM is coverage "power". The batch of 6,000 watt stations on the Empire State Building at 1362 feet above average terrain are the equivalents of 50,000 watts at 150 meters (the height that used to be known as 500 feet).
So Larry Patrick is awarded $2.1m for his efforts as the first trustee of Crazy Ed's stations. Then an Albuquerque programmer wants the second trustee to give him rights to program, market and sell advertising on the Royce stations. His plan for Palm Springs is a doozy - a dollar a holler. YIKES...creditors will probably get paid in the year 2525 under this scheme.
In the meantime, Crazy Ed will probably want to check his Ring camera when someone comes a knockin' on his door.

The two major TV operators get about 60% of their income from carriage fees, and the rest is very low rate spots, mostly for "boob jobs", personal injury loy-yers and air conditioning service
If Nurse Jeff and I were creditors of Crazy Ed, we wouldn't want any part of allowing a third party to monetize his stations to pay us back. It's another stall tactic to allow Crazy Ed to file more briefs to stop the sale of his stations. If VCY is still willing to pay $4.5m for the stations, then giddy up. They aint gonna be worth more in the future.
Seems like its up to the judge to make that decision.
