Royce International saga, update

An involuntary transfer of licenses by the Trustee. Crazy Ed didn't sign the transfer (and probably wasn't asked).

Being a debtor in possession makes your property subject to the will of the court. This judge has a lot of experience with this debtor.

Better off putting something on than keeping them silent. I’m just hoping that Autopilot won’t put on EDM in Vegas and Palm Springs because those markets have another permanent EDM station that would lose listeners to the temporary format.

92.7 has new branding - goodbye Pirate Radio; hello Revolution:

With the beginning of the programming agreement, Dance “Pirate Radio 92.7” KREV Alameda/San Francisco relaunched as “Revolution 92.7” with what they are describing as a “Pure EDM” format at 12pm today. The station notes that “The roots of Electronic Dance Music run deep in the Bay Area, and KREV Revolution 92.7 honors that legacy through its one-of-a-kind presentation of true – not pop – EDM.”

I'd rather have MeTV FM. It probably won't happen, but I think there is still a market for such a format, albeit probably not the most desirable for advertisers.

I hope that Vegas doesn’t get another dance station. It’ll split the audience with Acid 87.7, and that would cause 87.7 to fail. The market isn’t big enough for two dance stations and the Ed Stolz stations are only going to be run by Autopilot temporarily

Well, that depends on a lot of factors, like signal coverage and ratings. Even if Las Vegas doesn’t get another Dance doesn’t mean they could see another trying to get one on the air.

KREV is definitely American EDM Club music now, was hoping for something like European “House” music to make its way to the Bay Area, I think that would find a successful niche.

It’s kinda meh to me, I hope it can find success. Much better than another weak Bay Area signal being thrown to a religious format that’ll garner even less listeners.

96.9, 95.3, 97.7, 103.3 and 107.3 are all never going to turn to something for the local masses, 92.7 can’t go too!
