RTN Atlanta (WSB-DT2) Schedule

My TiVo has the listings. I have called Comcast to complain about all of our other boxes not having the listings. Very annoying. If TiVo can get it right, then Comcast should be able to.

Comcast Canton (former adelphia) has the listings; however, the despriptions don't always match the show being shown.

I talked with a guy at WSB that is working on the listings. WSB is not broadcasting all shows at the same time they are fed down the RTN network. They are doing some time shifting. TiVo is picking up the national RTN schedule which is sometimes wrong in Atlanta. The guy at WSB says "it is more complicated than I can explain", whatever that means. Small independant stations seem to be able to feed their schedule to Tribune so it will be sent out to all affected parties. Not sure why WSB is having such a problem feeding the schedule to Tribune.

All of the local RTNs are feed from Equity's "patent pending" central hub in Little Rock, AR. They are all localized for each affiliate. However, WSB should be able to interrupt the feed locally (from their 1601 West Peachtree Street studios) if they so desire. If another station in Atlanta owns the rights to a show that RTN airs, then RTN has to black it out (Syndex). Most likely, WPCH, WATL, and WUPA do have the rights to some of RTN's shows.

Comcast Atlanta (with Motorola boxes) gets their listings from TV Guide, not Tribune (which feeds the Scientific-Atlanta boxes in the old Adelphia areas).

Whether TV Guide or Tribune, according to the guy at WSB, they are not feeding the schedule to anybody because "it is more complicated than I can explain." I shouldn't be sarcastic, but if small LP stations that have two or three employees can feed the schedule, I do not see why Cox does not have somebody manually typing in the schedule. From what I gathered from "the guy" they are trying to set up an automatic program guide feed. I think it is not very good for ratings to put something as big as a guide off.
