sadly, that is probably a first-step towards no longer being "retro".
Probably more infomercials and increasingly cheesy new productions

I think you all are reading way too much in to this. RTN always seemed like a weird way to abbreviate Retro TV. RTV makes far more sense to me.
Yeah "RTV" does sound less clunky for a tv network than "RTN" did.
They could name it anything starting with an R, I guess, technically, but then again they just started up that new website domain and all that. That's an expense it would take a while to recoup in today's broadcasting climate.
