Rifleman, Peter Gunn and Daniel Boone have been on MeTV anyway. Is Tarzan the 1960's version with Ron Ely? I grew up on Saturday afternoon reruns of that show back in the 70's. I haven't seen it in nearly 30 years.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of Abbott and Costello's bits from the Colgate Comedy Hour, but ONLY their segments and nothing else.

I've read elsewhere that the main content will be the Martin and Lewis segments..

The programming may not be top of the line, but It's different-To me it's another choice..Nothing wrong with that..

All of these are shows now controlled by SFM Entertainment, who used syndicate those 'SFM Holiday Network' movies during holidays in the 1980s. (You may be familiar with their vanity card.)

Wow, it doesn't get more pitiful than that. Those shows are not even bottom of the barrel. They are below the barrel 3 feet down underground.

What's your gauge for them being 'bottom of the barrel'--simply not being as popular as other classic shows, or something else?

I think it's perception-some people just don't like anything "old". The "new" RTV shows have at least 2 seasons on the air, (assuming Tarzan is the Ron Ely Version) so they were somewhat popular in their time. The reality is, RTV can't afford the top old shows like MeTV and Antenna TV. So they have to go a different direction-There's not a thing wrong with that..

The Real McCoys was a top 10 hit for two season and a top 20 hit for two more seasons. I have never seen it in reruns.

And, having been on ABC for every season except the final one, that was a coup in itself, to get ratings like that. ABC was almost a "netlet" back in the day.

A local station ran "The Real Mcoys" for several years back in the late 70's or early 80's. Haven't seen that one in a while.

This may not be a big step for RTV, but it is a SKIP in the right direction......they just need a
lot more of them.

Am I the only one seeing Ozzie and Harriet moving to 1pm on Sat and Sun?

I also see Oz airing Sat/Sun 1-1:30 PM starting June 30 on KAZT 7.3 Prescott/Phoenix (RTV).

Another classic note for y'all...I Love Lucy on Me-TV (weekday mornings 8:30/7:30) is about
to start airing the Hollywood episodes. The trip starts next week, and the first El Lay episode
(Bill Holden at the Brown Derby) airs on Monday July 2.

The Martin & Lewis shows would be fascinating to see, as would "The Real McCoys", which I haven't seen since it was part of CBS' weekday morning rerun block in the mid 60's.

What happened to RTV's deal with Warner Bros.? There hasn't been anything on their schedule from that yet.

I actually have a DVD set of Martin & Lewis episodes from the Colgate Comedy Hour, and I'd guess that something similar is available with Abbott & Costello. My main point is that I'd like to see more of their segments and cut out most of the outdated music.

As I recall, The Nashville Network carried reruns of "The Real McCoys" circa 2000 (around the time of Viacom's decision to rechristen the channel as The National Network).

I thought that this had been discussed on this board, unless it was just a rumor that never happened?

That originated late last year with a "news release" and "schedule" on a fantasy TV board that someone thought was legitimate, and it snowballed around here for a week or two.
