RTV IS AWFUL

That's like the old Sesame Street DVDs not being "suitable for the needs of today's preschoolers". What, did they change the alphabet?

It's "change we can believe in" from the government-run PBS... :D

Also, someone mentioned "Coach"... I stand by an earlier prediction that reruns of that show will end up on either ESPN Classic or Versus at some point...

As for the production values of RTV, when we only had five OTA channels, the production values weren't that strong on them either. A bunch of things went wrong that we just ended up rolling with.

How long before RTV starts showing "Perfect Strangers"?

Or how about...

Anything But Love
Doogie Howser, M.D.
Gimme a Break

Just the Ten of Us
Mr. Belvedere
My Two Dads
Punky Brewster
Silver Spoons
The Ropers
The Facts of Life

Valerie/Valerie's Family: The Hogans/The Hogan Family

The Colbys
Dallas
Dynasty
Falcon Crest
Flamingo Road
Jake and the Fatman
Knots Landing
Max Headroom
Miami Vice
The Fall Guy

And does RTV have to be limited to sitcoms (and dramas?) Do they have the opportunity to acquire classic cartoons and game shows? Or do Cartoon Network and GSN respectively have the exclusive rights to those?

I woudn't mind seeing alot of those shows again I would add "Who's the Boss and Night Court" to that list .

As far as Coach, WGN airs it on Wednesdays at 8PM EDT.and they run 2 episodes.

Re: Critter Gitters

I'm glad RTV decided to air Critter Gitters. Now if we could get them to air all the episodes--including the final season which other stations don't seem to air anymore....

That said, I experienced a technical difficulty this morning (October 10th) in the Quad Cities. I was expecting Critter Gitters, but got The Early Show instead. RTV came back to DTV Channel 4-2 at around 7:30 A.M.

Did any other RTV stations also have this problem?

Would WHBF-TV have to make up for the lost E/I programming?

Because this glitch was at the expense of Critter Gitters, I must know....What was today's episode (probably from the third season)?

The Early Show as in, CBS's Early Show? If it was, that wasn't an RTN problem, but WHBF's problem. Automation probably took the wrong source to air.
