Apparently today was "Best of O&A"... so the word out is to tune in tomorrow to give them a chance... anyhow this link is audio of LAST MONDAY when O&A thought they were on in Buffalo, but of course they weren't yet... (ick...rough "start"):

There is a report that producer Ben Sparks was suspended (also rumored to be fired) because of the altercation with a Howard Stern fan during the "walkover" from Free-FM to XM studios, which could be the reason for the "best of"
Yes the content was a smidge old... waxing poetic on Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.
So, tuesday could be Day number 1

What a refreshing change in morning drive! The Citadel managers should be proud of themselves for adding O&A to the WEDG line-up. Stimulating content, topical and ever so riveting.

When the M&T sponsorhip billboard aired in the middle of O&A's hysterical discussion of "retards," it was readily clear that M&T Bank would be proud to be associated with the show. I'm sure the agencies will be lining up.

One thing's certain, Shredd & Ragan have to be pleased. They get to sleep in and with any luck at all, they'll be making life a bit more challenging for Sandy Beach on WBEN and Bulldog and Schopp on WGR.

O&A is a perfect show for WEDG. It helps define the station. Is there any doubt in that the show will be number one with the station's core audience and drive WEDG to greater success?

If I were in the braintrust at Entercom, I'd seriously consider recruiting Shredd and Ragan to do my morning show at WBEN.

I'm not kidding.

That station needs an infusion of energy bigtime, and what better way to get it?

This would be like the radical surgery performed on it back in 1978 to blow out a lot of the old guard (and the 65-to-death audience that listened) and replace it with newer blood...dropped the core audience safely down into the 25-54 realm where it stayed for many years. WBEN needs a similar jolt now, and I can't think of a better way to accomplish it.

If Larry Levite owned WBEN today, he'd already be on the phone to them working out the terms.
