RUMOR: KNGY's Fonseca to take over mornings at KYLD

I saw this on www.yelp.com:

Flying Bear Media Rhythmic/AC KNGY(Energy 92.7) air talent Fonseca is in line
to take over Mornings at Clear Channel CHR/Rhythmic KYLD replacing the
just cancelled T-Man show.

Any word on who will actually take over mornings over at WiLD?
 
I'll give you one guess who wrote it. I think he's in line to be on Weekends and maybe production director.

As for mornings... I predict all-board-op shifts until the new PD comes in.

Jon Manuel is doing fill-in mornings until a new morning show is put in place. I hope the new morning show Wild 94.9 hires will be a good one...Actually I would love to see The Doghouse return, but that's very unlikely to happen. In the event that doesn't happen, I would like to see Sam Diggedy and the Morning Madhouse come in from co-owned KDON in Salinas!

Interesting. I've never heard him do mornings, but I've caught some of his weekend show on KHOP/Modesto. He is definitely a solid talent.
 
Here's the scoop...it will be Fonseca and Ben Fong Torres....Wild On with Fonseca and Ben.
 
Finally!!! I moved up here from LA and missed the "Fonseca Show" on B95.1. HE IS HILARIOUS AND OUTRAGEOUS -- better than a double latte anyday in the morning. KYLD will miss out on a solid talent if they don't get him away from KNGY or KHOP. I even stream him from KHOP just so I can hear some talent here in the Bay Area on the airwaves. Fonseca can make an annoying ten year old into a funny act. If they replace the T-man Show to another loser - goodbye sales for Wild. Fonseca is a native of San Francisco (where are those people?), lives in the city (who can afford that) and can make anyone laugh old, young -- even an old fart like McCain.
 
We miss the T-Man show real bad over here at Bezerkley. We punch it up on line every morning however.
KWild has no clue what they're doing. never will.
 
Fonseca has been hired in a production position by KYLD.... but givin how Clear Channel LOVES to have one person wear multiple hats, dont be suprised if you see him on-air soon.
 
Maybe KYLD is waiting until after the new year for a new morning show to be in place.

I can tell you it won't be Fonseca. Look for him Evenings on Star 101, though...

And on their Wild's commercials.
 
Well now...

Turns out the title of this thread has come to pass (or is set to do so) after all.

Fonseca will fill in doing mornings on Wild 94.9 during much of mid/late Dec. and early Jan. As well as doing production for Wild and maybe evenings on Star. One busy chump will he be...
 
The show taking over on Wild will be Ben Fong-Torres, John MacFlannagan and Fonseca. I've said this before...The show is called

Ben Fon John Torres in the Mornin' gone Wild.

Kid Loose has been doing the commercials since they let Fonseca go.

Joey V continues to do the imaging, as he as done since he took over from Matt the Brat. Joey V is the imaging god I always wanted to be... and still may be someday...
