Setting things straight, hope you're all having a great weekend --
1. Actually, Ken and I never HATED the Lehigh Valley; I grew up there, and it's nice to get away from where you grew up to see the world and what things are like elsewhere. That's the only reason we left.
2. We are NOT on the air in Cincy right now -- Bonneville & the Mormons bought the station we were working at and didnt want to pay us what we wanted so they didnt offer us a contract and put on a cheap syndicated show.
3. I think we'd enjoy working on a ROCK station, since that's the music I LOVE, and when you love your station's music, you love your station a bit more than when you dont care for your format (not that I dont like country, but I sure am sick of being told "we dont sound like a country morning show"). We were supposed to sound different than any OTHER "country" morning show. By design. And that's fine with me, because I'd rather be edgy, unpredictable and local and keep it about the LISTENERS than sit and talk about what Kenny Chesney's doing on his next album, because honestly -- is that going to be something you care about as a listener? I wouldnt care what charity event Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, etc are attending over the weekend, but I DO care about some NAKED GUY running on the side of 22, 33 or 78...
so to sum it up, we'd LOVE to come back to the Valley, but when there's NOTHING OPEN, there's nothing, and you go somewhere else... I AM a bit homesick though...
y'all keep stirring it up and rocking the free world on the air!
