Rumor: Regis to WFSB Dr Phil Back to WTNH?

In the case of Regis and Kelly moving to WFSB is in fact true. It was CONFIRMED on "Better Connecticut" a month ago.

As for "Dr. Phil" I have no idea if WTNH will get it back. They could get it back and put it on WCTX. I was also thinking FOX61 could pick it up. They already have "The Doctors", so it could fit well.

Why would they do that, when WTNH is clearly the bigger station between the two?

That's where my source got the information from. My mom watches it and heard it. I didn't hear it first hand since I was working, so that's why I called it a rumor.

...so your mom was the "source"?

I only meant that they could put it on WCTX if no one else (including WTNH) wants it or they could share it like WBZ and TV38 do in Boston (that's ending though in September).

I feel that "Dr. Phil" is "fading out of the top" (my opinion only). This happened with "Ricki Lake" and "Montel" (almost all the '90s talk shows), they started out on one of the "Big 3" networks and as the years went by, they tended to move to the FOX, WB and UPN stations or they were pushed to late night. I just think that Phil is viewership or why would WFSB get rid of it? I know I'm sick of him now. He's been on for a while, so it's time to give the spotlight to someone else.

I was just thinking that Dr. Phil might stay on WFSB and take the 3PM slot before Oprah once Guiding Light ends if CBS gives the slot back to WFSB. They may also want Dr. Oz for that slot, as I have no idea who's getting that show. Both shows would fit well next to Oprah being spin-offs of her show.

I'm surprised no one has seen this yet... Saturday. I was stuck at a relatives place fixing her computer, and WTNH aired a promo saying Dr. Phil was coming to My9 in September, so all rumors true, almost.

Actually, I just got the scoop. Through an e-mail, I found out that "Dr. Phil" will be once again acquired by WTNH and will be shared between WTNH and WCTX. It will air on WTNH weekday mornings at 9AM (so basically Regis and Kelly and Phil are flipping stations and both keeping the 9AM hour) and it will air again at 6PM on WCTX. So that should clear up any questions on the two shows). This is confirmed, as it comes from the programming director of both stations).

I note that WSHM 67 (cbs3springfield) also lists Live with R&K at 9 am now, 700 Club moves to 10 am, Better Springfield is now at 6 am. DR.P. is gone from 4pm replaced by CBS 3 News at 4 and Inside Edition at 4;30 followed still at 5 by Oprah.

It appears according to TitanTV.com that WWLP has replaced Regis and Kelly with The Today show running the full 7a-11a continuous.
