I was hoping you realized what you said - and you are right!

BTW: Keeping airchecks were not important until Johnny Carson moved the Tonight Show to Burbank.

If Rush is moved to FM his show is going to face a stiff test: would his show be able to compete in a more urban signal area? WABC has that clear channel signal, one that can reach some of the more-difficult outlying areas of the metropolis. WEMP would give him a coveted FM signal but the most-likely listening area would be deep-blue territory. He may still reach the people who commute on a daily basis but, beyond that demo, I doubt it.
