Rumor: Steve Gradick station in Rome

About three years ago I heard Steve Gradick, owner of WBTR B-92.1 FM (Carrollton), Kiss 102.7 FM (Carrollton), WLBB 1330 AM (Carrollton) and WKNG 1060 AM- 89.1FM (Tallapoosa and Heflin) had gotten the FCC clearing to build a station in Rome. I heard it had to be on the air in 2005. Has it gone on the air? What frequency is it? I heard he sold it to the stone communications. Can anyone clear up the rumors?

Steve and Les sold the station to Southern Broadcasting for over $1 million last year. It is on 95.3 in the Coosa community. Has a really short tower and covers basically Floyd County in mono. Simulcasts WRGA-AM which is local news/talk. By all accounts it was a win-win for all. Steve got a nice cash price for a nominal investment and WRGA got more complete coverage of Floyd county.
