It just sounds like they want someone to run and fine-tune MAX-FM.

First Broadcasting has no knowledge of the markets. Otherwise they would realize that their stations do not reach the heart of the Cincinnati market with a strong signal. Two Georgetown OH stations and an Oxford station is not what I'd describe as stations that can be built in the Cincinnati market. Good luck to whoever gets that gig...they'll need it.

First just hired a new Market Manager/GM for Cincinnati not too long ago (replacing the guy who just left the company), so maybe they are looking to expand further here.

And trust me on this - they know full well how far those signals do and do not reach in the market.

And they still plan to move the Oxford license to Mason, which will give them a better signal once they move the transmitter.

Out of curiosity does anyone know how much First bought the Georgetown stations for (WAXZ & WAOL)? Also are they still planning to move WAXZ to Salt Lick?

4.1 million for the two stations, and 5.6 million for WOXY.

FWIW, the transmitter will not be in Mason, but ... are you ready?

Monroe.
