Southside Steve to RG's again. They need him.
Jimmy Baron to WGST. This will happen.
Hullinger to 680 or something 750. Where does he resurface?

Jimmy to GST? I heard Jimmy is auditioning in Phili for an AM station that wants a male driven show that focuses on more than politics.

Rude to the River? Interesting... It would be nice to have him back in his element, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Barnes off Dave? Yep...in fact, I think Dave will be off Dave by October.
I got to believe that CBS is not happy about a STRONG signal that can't get ratings. With Opie and Anthony doubling, and in some cases tripling ratings in big markets, I can't see why they wouldn't bring the boys to Atlanta. They could even keep the format. Move Mara up an hour, and find a personality driven afternoon show.
 
If they dont want to eat his contract, they could put him in afternoons. He'd do fine there.

As for Southside Steve. I think he'll be managing a Hooters in FLA any day now.

I've read on this board that several times Tom Hughes was protected because of his friendship with John Hogan. You have to figure if Hogan can get away with losing two thirds of the Clear Channel's stock price and mulitmillion dollar losses on the Braves, he can certainly continue to prop up the King.

Man, I'd love Rude back in rock and roll! So many good memories of driving around listening to him talk and helping me mentally survive traffic. I really do miss it.
 
Kincade was talking about "two new members to the 680 family" today on the show, but gave no indications as to who they may be. Perhaps Hullinger is one of them?

I would love to hear him with Rude- -but that's my 96 rock brain talking.
 
So did anyone catch the FAN announcement yesterday. I didn't it was supposed to be such a big announcement and a second one today.

Also I though 99x was annoncing their new morning show this week. What happened to that?
 
Fan changes

I did not hear the show on Thursday, but I read on the falcons board that they announced a new weekly show on Tuesday nights with Falcons QB Matt Schaub. Typical 680 move, it goes well to cater to their white boy demo by doing a show with the backup QB who all the bubbas are rooting for to take the job. I thought that was rather ho-hum.
Friday they announced a weekly half hour with Kirk Herbstreet from ESPN that will follow the half hour they do with Chris Mortensen. Now they are talking something that I can get interested in. They have the two best NFL and College anews guys from ESPN joining them every Friday. For that hour at least I will make an appointment to be tuned in.
If Rude goes away I would be shocked. It does seem that B&K are getting all the big namers though, so maybe that rumor has legs.
