RUMOUR: ELLLIOT IN THE MORNING TO DO MORNING DRIVE ON RADIO 104.5

While I do not necessarily agree with the rumor, it falls right in CC being cheap as usual. Elliot is a good morning show, but VERY DC/VA based. He DID work at Z100 in NYC before so he is familiar with up north. I also think he did a brief stint at Q102 in Philly. He is very familiar with the Philly area (spoke of Cherry Hill last week).

Is this a good move for CC? Should they get a local show?

He never worked at Q-102. He was John Lander's producer at WEGX back in 1991-1993. I worked with him there and in L.A. when he co-produced Scott Shannon's show at Pirate Radio with MJ Kelli.

Thanks for the correct info! I knew it was either 102 or 106.

You're welcome. I forgot to mention, he's pretty good. But I think Radio 104.5 needs a local morning show to be successful. Something/someone new, not the old regurgitated sh*it we always end up with. (Know what I mean?)

The Morning show at WLRS Louisville KY is pretty good The MO radio show

I listen to Elliot online in the morning and I think he is pretty funny. WAY better than P&S in my opinion

If you ever talk to him (Elliot), ask him about the 1 year birthday party with Pirate Radio in LA, when he, me, and Ron Jeremy were hanging out with Ron's entourage. Buffy Davis, Ginger Lynn, and Jenna Jameson were all quite fun. ;)

Definitely think you'll see Cousin Ed there in the mix somewhere...Brett Hamilton too...possibly matt & huggy from 94 going there too...and Marilyn Russell as well.

I wonder if there's room for "Mister Alternative/Modern Rock" himself....

PAGING DR. MELVIN!!!!!!

yes, I hereby call for the return of *drum roll* MEL 'TOXIC' TAYLOR!!!!!!!

This something that bugs me. This town is the retread capital of radio. How about some new blood. Now there are definately exceptions to the rule, but how Clear Channel is describing it, this is a perfect time to bring in some fresh voices. The one thing I think they definately need is a strong morning show. But this morning show has to know the area. Elliott might be go good choice. Heres an off the wall idea. Bring in Danny Bonaduce. He knows the market from his Eagle 106 and think of the press and controversy that would be.

Novel idea, but he had a major falling out with CC on the West Coast...

Then again, CBS did hire back O&A, so anything is possible...

Did this station change formats again? Last I heard, Sunny 104.5 had flipped to Spanish after a rhythmic-AC replacement launched on 106.1... ???

when you talk to my boy elliot ask him how much fun we had back at KKBQ 93Q Houston...Elliot would hang out with me for my shift helpin on the phones and all...then we'd head to two peso's for some grub and drive down the freeway with elliot's little white car freakin back firing so loud it sounded like a cannon going off...we had some fun back in the day for sure...chris allen

He's working for CBS now, as second banana on the Adam Carolla show.

How about just moving Booker over from Q-102? Booker would make perfect sense, and besides, he worked on the late "K-Rock" in NYC when it played alternative rock. Just a notion.

You missed the memo. CC blew up La Rumba 104.5 at 10AM yesterday in favor of a rockish type format called Radio 104.5, La Rumba moved to 1480 AM displacing Gospel formatted WDAS.
