RUPERT MURDOCH/FOX GOES SPANISH

I will hold my comments. Only to say that this is a damn shame.

What is the shame in going after a large and fast-growing demographic and offering it another programming choice?

A dollar earned is still a dollar regardless of what language it speaks.

Seem like a smart move by Fox. Good for them. I suspect we'll see this as a subchannel on the Fox O&O's in markets like Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles. I don't see any full power stations in those markets that would be available to jump to this network.

Well here in Houston where there are 2 Fox owned stations. The other being a My Tv affiliate could probably drop My for the new Spanish Fox

Of course I really don't want that to happen. I'm Hispanic but have no desire for any Spanish programming on any outlet. Too many as it is.

I wouldn't count on it; MundoFOX might become a subchannel for My20. The year 2012 is still young, folks.

Fox has been reluctant to launch digital subchannels on their own stations. Maybe they were saving the bandwidth for this. On the other hand Mundo Fox is apparently looking for affiliates that will do local news in Spanish. Many of the Azteca America stations started news departments. Another reason they seem likely candidates to flip to Fox.

subchannel yes. Main channel NEVER. that would be financial suicide for Fox
