I think the bigger question is what's happening at CC? I believe this is the third or fourth station changed in the last 2 yrs.

Also gone...most of Cristi's people. While most have said they loved working for Cristi, the opposite is true of King.
He is someone who revels in being hated, has no one's respect or trust on his side of the building. Who else cuts loose an entire staff two weeks before Christmas?

Question to ask...is the CC cluster better now or worse two years later?
106.1? Slightly better in ratins, but lost its only competitor
105.3? Definitely a ratings winner with La Preciosa...but then King has NOTHING to do with the CC format, just plug and play.
96.5? Kiss had better numbers than KBKO, perhaps not in sales...but right now, no way is it better.
98.5? The Fox has fallen despite not having a true competitor, and lost a lot due to a flavor of the month in Pirate.
970? How is it possible that a Clear Channel cluster, partnered with the best TV news staff in town, couldn't muster a 2 share? Lack of Leadership. Best of luck with that oldies format guys.
800? You simulcast.

Surprised, but good to see Beck moving with Rush. With the dog that KGET was, surprised KNZR would pull ANY of its programming outside of Rush. Were Beck's numbers better, and if so, presumably due to the Rush leadin?

I have to agree with the poster, no matter who he/she is. Although, I won't put blame on someone I don't know.

Major change has happened in the last few years at CC. I hate seeing stations flip that were never worked right in the first place. FoxSports could have been a good station but CC never cared to promote it. It seems that the only promotion that 970 gets is filler spots on 17. 800 never got that. I don't know or care who to blame, but its not the same great powerhouse that we all thought they could be.

The spanish station is a MONEY MAKER, why not toss the bird on two sticks? KUZZ has been doing it for years.

I will say that I hope Tiny, Jeff and staff can find someplace to play local. If not, good luck to them.
