Apples and oranges issue. WPHT is owned by CBS, WLS by Cumulus. One station's move to local shows would not affect the other's possible inclination, say, to drop Rush for Mike Huckabee.
However, one may assume Cumulus would be looking for openings to get Huckabee on in Chicago and other markets, so, who knows?
The better question might be, with Merlin running Rush and other talk shows on its new Philadelphia station, might it be inclined to shift its Chicago station to news-talk and make a similar move there?

The consensus from the limited amount of chatter that I've seen (involving people who may or may not know what they're talking about) is that Rush being dropped by WLS in favor of Huckabee is a matter of "when" and not "if". This school of thought tends to see the move happening at some point towards the end of year. Salem's WIND or Merlin's WIQI are widely viewed as the two most logical landing places for the Limbaugh program.
If enough people become embarassed by behavior, such a move toward more responsible viewpoints are assured.
Eventually shtick becomes a bad parody of itself when creativity has waned.
We have reached the time where far fewer people want to hear any party line preached,
but would rather have more information available to assess for themselves.
Makes no difference whose particular divisive viewpoint may be described or defined, the polarity itself becomes boring.
Shows which seem bent on maintaining the old divisive positions are becoming, and will become ever more boring to their own supporters. Those shows which do well to help all to envision and invent new solutions to our old problems will grow.
