Rush Limnbaugh song parodies

This is the only part of Limbaugh's show that I really like. So, since I don't listen every day, I may have missed a good one, but my favorite song parody he's aired was to the tune of ABBA's "Dancing Queen", re-christened "Banking Queen", it's a song was about Rep. Barney Frank who is culpable in the downfall of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and thus the recent recession.

What is your favorite song parody played on The Rush Limbaugh show?

Obama singing "I'll be taxing you" to the tune of The Police song "Every Breath You Take" is certainly a classic

"Banking Queen" also takes a stab at Rep. Frank's sexual preference...

Shanklin's bits are fun, but I'm more partial to the Johnny Donovan-produced bits from the Clinton era "Ross Perot Waffles", anyone?

Re: Rush Limbaugh song parodies

I knew that "Banking Queen" also referenced his preference, which maked it not P.C., which is another reason I liked it.

Spatula City is actually from the Weird Al movie "UHF" - a movie about a fledgling UHF station on the edge of town. It appears as one of their commercials.

That's used as a filler during a local spot feed. I'm surprised that they still use the Spatula City track after all those years.

My favorite: "In a Yugo."

Because the original sung by Elvis somehow just tugs emotional heartstrings with me, that alone makes the parody funnier. I would be shocked if Paul Shanklin recorded that in one take and kept a straight face.

my favorite goes way back in the Golden Grooveyard.....the parody of
I Touch Myself by Divinyls dedicated to Ted Kennedy.

They's arrest
Anybody else
But when the Kennedys SCREW up
They use their wealth

Another funny Paul Shanklin parody wasn't a song, but a "Larry King Alive" skit with Larry, James Carville and Ken Starr (IIRC, Shanklin voiced all three). Carville's character went on and on about how Ken Starr was "a madman space alien from Mars flying around in a spaceship giving cigarettes to your babies - trying to destroy the most moraled man in America, President Clinton! It's a war, Larry... It's a WAR!"

Larry's character followed that with "quite a compelling argument, that's all the time we have tonight" without bothering to go to Starr, who was otherwise quietly mumbling throughout. It was so funny I actually had to buy the CD.

I miss the good ol' days... ;)
