Rush on AM 1110 in Merrimack Valley

For those of you who give a crap - and, yeah, I realize there are very few of you - Rush can be heard on AM 1110 out of Salem, NH.

This should not be in the Boston forum.
The Boston forum is for BOSTON stations.

with all due respect Frank, that is a MA station for all intents and purposes, the tower is inches over the MA/NH border and it is considered by anybody who works in this area to be a MA station focused on the Lowell/Lawrence/Haverhill area. What we call the Merrimack Valley.

If we were talking about that flea powered AM in Derry NH I would agree that is a NH station.

Even WFNQ Nashua (transmitter in Hudson NH you can see it from MA) markets itself as a Merrimack Valley station (like the station we were discussing) and WFNQ under Nassau showed up in the Boston PPM's... I don't think Binnie Media subscribes.

Anything south of Derry NH is considered an extension of MA around here, and I live one mile away from the MA border in NH, I listen to Boston radio, watch Boston TV, read Boston papers, etc etc etc.

That is why the Boston radio and tv stations make a killing in election season, because they are buying spots for the MA and NH elections as all the Boston stations are listened to or watched in Southern NH....

As usual we can't fully go by radio-locator but their map shows much of theor signal is in SE NH.Yes some distant and fringe gets into NE Mass including Lowell, Lawrence,
Haverhill and Newburyport but the local signal and much of distant is concentrated in NH.

RaccoonerMan,

You are not helping the cause here; this thread belongs back in the Boston Forum.

I get better reception from AM 1110 than from AM 1430 when driving down I-495 from Haverhill.

And FWIW, WCCM's studios are in Methuen, MASSACHUSETTS.

Agreed, I can barely get 1430 but I get 1110 loud an clear

Yes the studios are in Methuen

and to tie it back to MA 1110 is simulcast on Costa-Eagles 102.9 using the HD2, and that is (if we are going to split hairs) a MA station..
