Rush Prediction Finally Comes True!

Fellow posters, in two years only one prediction has failed
to come to pass, that is about to end. To those who had faith
in my predicting ability, your faith is about to be rewarded.
Rush will go to KIRO 9a-12n when KTTH flips to sports Radio.
KTTH has wrapped up the Sonics deal, will bid on the Mariners
and KIRO will send the Seahawks their way next season. Look for
the complete format flip by next fall, though Rush may head to
KIRO sooner.

Hold Me...Your Pharaoh of Predictions finally comes true. Look for
the press releases to roll throughout this year.

Vindicated at last!

PEACE OUT!

Oh and look, KRKO has posted on their web site they're looking for a new program director...

What is to become of Michael Savage and Bill O'Reilly ... the only 2 people worth listening to on that station?

And will Medved throw another hissy fit when he can't get live clearance in his own home town?

P-I: Sonics move officially announced

Let all three of them fight for that one share.

Moving the Seahawks to KTTH would be financial suicide.
Not to mention that the Seahawks would probably yank their contract on the next go round.

KIRO can be heard almost to the Oregon Border.
KTTH can be heard almost past Tacoma.

The KTTH Day signal is stronger toward the Oregon border than KIRO.

KTTH However is only 5kw at night with a pattern beaming toward Sequim from Vashon Island.

If the Sonics build a new arena on the East side they wont hear KTTH after dark in their parking lot.

This sounds like a lot of expense to try splitting a 2 share.

Will this be all live and local since they probably can't clear ESPN or FOX sports?

Medved of course would go to either KGNW or KKOL.

The report in the PI from the KTTH PD has said El Rushbo will not at least for the foreseeable future be headed off to KIRO and that KTTH will stay as a talk station and not seque to all sports. ANyways how will KTTH be an all Sports Station if they cant have any national shows in terms of ESPN and FSR since CC has them locked up on KJR and 850. Plus I don't see the Seahawks leaving a 50KW AM for a 5kw AM. If the Hawks Leave KIRO it will be for either a flamethrower AM or the FM Band. Plus if the Mariners leave KOMO they will either probly look at KJR or Going back to KIRO unless the Mariners pull a St Louis Cardinals ans buy a Station.

Why wouldn't he? KKOL will eliminate Dave Ramsey or ship him off to nights. Also, expect Ingraham to move to a live clearance in AMD; Salem is in love with her and might even show up in the next 12+. 1300 might even pick up Savage, although the KTTH salesclowns to a pathetic job of selling his show. Apparently the numbers aren't as good as one might expect. And...gasp...this could mean no more of the morning duo sitting in on the Savage Nation! I guess that means we're doomed to more Rick Roberts when the Compassionate One is on vacation.

Bill O'Reilly... he's be dropping markets faster than UW sorority girls' panties on a Saturday night. But from the way things should turn out if the folks over at Salem are half-awake is that you'll see (save Rush) everything worth listening to shimmy over to KKOL, and that half-a**ed talk station will become what KTTH was. So no net loss of talk stations in Seattle; just a new address for some shows.

BTW, I don't believe Sporting News Radio is cleared in Seattle, so that would be the network option. Tony Bruno for mornings 6-10am wouldn't bad at all. And since we're complaining about "no available network affiliation", why not solve your PMD problem by bringing Leykis back? #1 with men 18+ in the last full book... what horrible ratings he had. Must have been IKnowit... excuse me, Robin and Maynard's numbers that caused the demise of the Buzz. But alas, I'm dreaming... why be #1 when you can split a 2 share three or four different ways.

KTTH moving sports makes little to no sense. Sports is a great emotional sale and enjoys tremendous power ratios. BUT it's a managment hassle, expensive (as in rights fees, ask KOMO!) and with little upside here. More likely is the previously mentioned male leaning format (Lykus, Sonics, etc.).

Difficult to think that the brains at Entercom hadn't considered all the issues brought up here. Sometimes the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is not a clear path. More will be revealed and this will begin to make some sense.
