There are plenty of examples of Maddow being very selective of her "legit documentation" as she "lays out her case." There's plenty of "demonstrably partisan fiction" presented on her show. And, no, I'm not going to spend the time digging up examples. I simply don't have the time or the interest in getting into a political skunk fight over this. You can believe what you want to believe, but what you're really arguing is the level of skill in creating and expounding propaganda targeted to a specific audience in the pursuit of cash.
 
I was a longtime Rush listener but since he went 100% Trump shill I can't listen. Rush did start out as entertaining, but I think around the time of his overnight in the Bush I White House, he started to be convinced he was a kingmaker.

Then how about comparing their ratings? Maddow isn't on radio any more. Rush is and dominates the syndicated ratings. Millions of Americans can't be wrong, can they? Oh wait, maybe they are wrong - look who's President.

Obviously you and I have both heard Rush on occasion could have been curiosity or maybe overheard somewhere on someone else's radio.

As for freedom of speech. "With great freedom comes great responsibility".

What happens when a conservative talk station airs a presidential pep rally, and he lets out an obscene word, one that even Howard Stern would not say, and it goes live on the air? How does a radio station defend itself when a complaint is filed with the FCC? Is it an incidental expletive? Everyone talks about the rappers, but now we have a president who is doing the same thing. And the people in his audience were applauding him. So maybe it's now OK.
 
Isn't there some exemption for news events? That being said, why in the world was WRVA carrying Trump's Grand Rapids speech live? If it was happening in Richmond I would have understood.

I asked a friend involved in radio news, and he commented that the decision was a bit unusual, but given that it was his first major address since the release of the Mueller Report, it might be considered extra-newsworthy at this moment.

There's nothing newsworthy at these things. It's not a "major address," but a campaign rally filled with attacks on his enemies. Most news organizations don't carry them live, but I imagine some conservative radio stations do. It's no more newsworthy than the Grammy Awards, and stations were fined for expletives in the Grammys. Seems like this kind of language would be a problem, especially for stations owned by religious organizations. It wasn't the first time he's done this at one of these rallies. Parents should be aware not to bring young children. Perhaps someone should inform the president that this language isn't appropriate for the public airwaves. We can't use this language on this site.
 
There used to be laws against using profanity in public too but I guess nobody cares about that anymore.

I have always told my kids that people right or wrong will make assumptions about you by the kind of language you use, how you express yourself. That's all I need to say.

Back when I was still in Elementary school and politician we all know was running for the New York Senate he came to speak at the Erie County Fairgrounds. We went to see him. His speech was positive and uplifting, G rated. Nothing even close to a cuss word. Times have changed, and I pray they don't stay this way for long.

ALL of the Fuhrer's rallies could be heard on radio across occupied Europe. WRVA knows what their bewildered audience wants to hear from the comfort of their rabbit hole.
