Rush will move to WOR

Rush just announced that he will move to WOR in NYC. No other changes to affiliates other than this change in New York.

No mention of Philly, where he is losing an affiliate and nobody is making noises about picking up the show.

Why would he make that announcement more than 3 months before it's supposed to occur? There has to be more to it.

The president was blaming him for something, and Rush decided he should now break the news.

What happens to Joan Hamburg? Will she move to 11 a.m.? She has got to be furious that he is taken her spot since she is a left winger.

Do you think Joan cares that much about politics? My guess is she'd like to keep her show for the prestige and the paycheck.

I've suspected all along that Mark Simone is keeping the 10-12 seat warm for her and will resume the same "Super Sub" status that he had on WABC on WOR, with maybe a show on the weekends.

OTOH, Joan Hamburg could retire.

A candidate for dumb post of the week. She is probably just as likely to be furious if they gave her spot of Rachel Maddow. Besides, he show is about shopping, so who knows what her politics are (if any).

Don't expect WPHT to bring this show back and Hannity and Beck. those shows are done airing in Philly proper IMO.

What will WABC put there? Huckabee because he already exists? This is Cumulus so I doubt they will spend money and bring in a local host, but if they did, who might it be? Someone new? Some old retread like Lionel, Malzberg, Crummey, Sliwa, or Simone? Move up some weekend guy like Kudlow or Matera?
