Perhaps he does give money in a less self-centered, less public way, but we don't know about it because it is, well, less self-centered and less public.

First, I don't really care WHY, he does it...I just know he does raise money for them, and as the brother of one of the said civic heroes I appreciate it. Second, whose to say he doesn't give part of his salary? Perhaps he does and we just don't know about it...I believe that would eliminate your previous "self-promotion" argument and enforce the fact that possibly he does, in fact, have altruistic motives. Thirdly, if he did take a dig at JD, then I'm sure it was in jest as the two have been close friends for 30 years...I rib my buddies too, its not a personal thing...its a guy thing.

I know that I am not going to change your perspective or opinion, but perhaps it would be in your best interest to consider all sides before casting dispersions...just a thought 8)
 
I also love the way he threw JD under the bus by saying what he did at the concert about him not being there. That's real class. Hope JD lands on his feet and stays away from Russ. JD deserves better.

My sources say your guess is correct. And afterall, wouldn't YOU be sitting on a beautiful beach for the holidays...and get paid to do it?? This just goes to show that JD has- and deserves- a good life outside of the miserable existense that is Russ Martin. He'll land on his feet. Seems like a nice guy.

Naw, Ive always liked JD better...he's always been a class act in and out of the studio.
 
OOO... "I like JD"..."Russ is a Di(K"... It's obvious that none of you people that post on here know any of the people that you talk about. The majority of you only know them from the radio, and if you think what they are on the radio is real then you are inherently retarded. Perhaps some of you should get into radio and work, or know someone before you make such statements about people. Speculation makes for nice reading on such websites but it is not what reality in the slightest is.
 
Quite a few years ago when they were filming Hot Tickets at Cowboys, my friend and I met Russ and JD...well, really we just met JD, Russ was too busy getting make up and hair done. JD was very friendly, kind and warm.. I was very impressed with JD. I do think JD has class and will land on his feet. I wish him the best
 
I can tellyou the difference between Russ and JD. I saw Russ when I was applying The Eagle when he did midays after Stern. I saw him treat the receptionist like crap in front of me when I was filling out my app in the lobby. I met JD at remote he was doing for KSCS. He was pretty cool. We talked for a long time. JD is a claas act. Russ is an idiot!. There is you difference between the two.

Nice attack on the moniker, you got me. It's an old one and I should change it sometime.

I personally know both of them, more so Russ than JD. I don't mean to generalize but it seems a majority of people, especially here, tend to believe what they hear on the air and translate that into what is real. The one time encounter here or there is not the true person, although I do agree that a one time encounter can make an impression.
