Russ Martin is a non factor...

I think we have pretty much established that. I have question for the masses...Who in texas is a good candidate for syndication? Who does a really good show? (format is not a factor).

1. Mark Davis... oh wait, people usually forget about that one. :D
2. Tom Dooley... not enough know enough to remember that one.
3. Frank Reed. KLTY has ruled the country for CCM. It's coming for someone to take note and take a chance.
4. Rickey Smiley. With rising numbers, great humor and a universal message, it's coming...
5. Charley Jones. Call me sentimental and a hack, but when I'm awake, his show is a stop down for me.

And now, for some Utopia...

6. Joe Bagby... 10-15 years ago. He's a legend and should have been national years ago.
7. Norm Hitzges and Chuck Cooperstein... can you imagine the sports smorgasboard there on the same show? WOOHOO
8. Imagine the genius and greatness of satellite or syndicated radio waves if the GREAT Glenn Mitchell were alive today? Ah, God speed, friend.

interesting...but, while they all have talent, and/ or have or are currently already syndicated...are there any names that might make sense...Coop does national games, Davis is all over the place. What about Corby, or BD Hunter, Gordo...whatever happened to Sybil?

Why noone has approached Jeff Ward at KLBJ-Austin about going syndicated is beyond me. The guy has talent, dry wit and is a refreshing change from the other "pundits".

Purd, In the names you listed, BDH is about the only guy who could carry a large audience. Corby is a one-trick pony, sybil is nice eye candy and I believe thats why Kelly ate her, because she was crowding in on her show and upsurping her lack of talent.

Gee, I think I sensed a Freudian slip in that last post.

Because Ward = not.that.great.buddy.

He's right where he should be in a large market in the town where he made hay as a Longhorn. Anywhere else and he's not going to do so well.

In a major market he'd do about as well as that clown doing mornings at KLIF right now...what his name Jeff Blowton?

I've never seen anyone discredit themselves like Slambang. You think BDH can carry a national audience? He can't carry a local one. [EDIT]
