Do wish he was back in that slot, anyone else hear thats eventually the plan? I would think music in the morning and afternoon with skull and ryan with RM in the afternoons would be a real winning combination.

Russ Martin moving to afternoon drive eventually?

It was only a matter of time before this happened. I did expect it would take a bit longer, though. Russ will have ratings failure because he has become irrelevant and in the new PPM world, he will be exposed. I fully expect when these ratings failures materialize, that the RM camp will spin it as an AMD/ PMD issue. Has anyone heard this? No, not until you brought it up. Would it make sense, no, it would not. You are diminishing Cindy and Chris, 2 great personalities with followings of their own, plus The Eagle is a music station and if they ditch music in the afternoon, you will have KLLI and we all know how that ended up, serving no one.
Yep they doubled the first week he was on the air.
But the weekly trends just came out and guess what?
He's down. People tuned in to sample him, and then went "ho-hum, same old-same old", and in this week's ratings, a healthy percentage tuned back to where they were before.
And don't get me wrong, KEGL AMDrive is still up from pre-Russ, but not to the levels of the spike he had in the first week, and certainly not anywhere close to first overall (which is what he's been claiming on-air)...
He doubled crappy ratings.

I listened to Jagger this morning and I'm so disappointed. He needs to be in a situation where he can flourish and this isn't the environment for him. The KLLI Jagger was greatness, the KRLD Jagger not so much.

"More music" with Cindy was much better than L&T...I wonder when Russ settles into a "real" range if his numbers will better than Cindy's?
