Russ on Mel Gibson

If you were to look back at my posts during the whole Russ vs his girlfriend thing, you'll see that I was a big supporter of the "wait and see." What we saw was an insight to how Russ can be in his personal life--controlling, and abusive.

That being said, I am an RMS fan, and listened these past two days. Never has a bit bothered me more than today, when the show spent almost an entire hour over the Mel Gibson thing...and Russ sitting there listening to the tapes and ripping Gibson for being abusive. Don't get me wrong, what Gibson did was completely repulsive (and that's not the point of this thread)

The thing that really bothers me is that Russ's past is very public, and yet he is going to rip someone else for doing what he, himself, has done.

Just something to think about.

If you buy into the "it takes one to know one" camp, this actually makes sense.

Besides, most people get angriest when they see other committing the very acts they themselves are ashamed of.

Call it the Ted Haggard principle.
