They are pretty hard to enforce in Texas anyways, but I don't see how there was any consideration for this... unless it is specifically in his contract and part of the paying out the contract is the consideration.

Exactly... They are paying him through 2010 or 2011 (I can't recall which at the moment), so they can keep him off the air per the non compete clause.
 
I can't help but wonder if he's going to try to do some sort of online show... how does a non-compete hold up against that? He wouldn't technically be on DFW radio waves. I guess the success of an online show is extremely limited, since no one can listen in their car.
