Dan O'Malley is broadcasting live from Live's charity bowling event this afternoon and said Russ will be there this evening. He also said Russ told him he will be on the air Monday and will address Friday's events.

O'Malley is foolish for passing on such information. Him stating that Russ claimed he will be on the air on Monday, is hearsay at best. KLLI would have to be stupid to allow Russ to be live on the air on Monday, or any other time for that matter, until this legal situation is settled.

To state about Mr. Martin: We dont know the whole story. If it did happen as it was reported, then he will be judged in a court of law and held accountable for his actions. If it did not, then it will be handled accordingly as well. One thing that hasnt been seen, or even asked, in any of the comments in that in alot of these types of cases (alleged domestic disputes), it that it is being generated/initiated by a jilted/angry partner(GF/BF,Spouse,Lover,ect..). I can speak from some level of experience on this as my brother was in a similar issue some years ago with a jealous girlfriend who in actually attacked him with little to no provication. Lets not forget that in this situation and keep that as a potential factor in our thoughts on this issue.

Also to LD, Trelvis, and the rest of the fanboys: There are quite a few of us folks in this market who believe that the big radio ownership companies have made some serious blunders when it comes to formatting their stations to play to the lowest common denominator, I include myself in this equation. I will also say that not everyone wants to hear the same played out schtick(i.e. user words similar sounding to the n-word, shutting off the mic, ect..) or recycled playlist over and over again. Many of us, both on this board and off would like better options in local radio. As they say: variety is the spice of life.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out he doesn't treat her very well, he admits that himself and his co-hosts even say they don't know who else would put up with him besides her. You would think he would be smarter than that considering how it could hurt the Police/Fire foundation as far as donations. I like Russ but it's pretty obvious he's got a drinking problem. He admits to drinking all the time and he drinks on the air. Serves 105.3 right after what they did to P & K.

I always wondered why so many people complain that if its not Jazz its no good.
Alot of people here do tend to whine alot. {not sure if i do. I usually try to stay positive]
Also im glad im out of the OLD catagory

But If Russ Actually is Back on Monday I would like to know what really happened.

The city police are not going to put any king of manhours into a radio bit. Being arrested cost the taxpayers money, I doubt the city would throw taxpayers money into a bit. Being accussed of the charges he is accused of are pretty serious. I know I wouldnt do a bit where peoples view of you is a g/f beating prick.

Heres a way of looking at it. You are accussed and aquitted of molesting someone. Even though you were never convicted you are now forever branded a child molester, EVEN IF YOU DIDNT DO IT! The fact that you were even in that situation makes people think without second guessing you are guilty.

Thats exactly why I wouldnt do such a bit, peoples view and opinion is really all you have as a jock. The best jock in the world is nothing with peoples support.

I have gone from a daily listener to a very infrequent one over the past few years. I am with you though.. I don't care what Russ says... If the charges are he beat on his girlfriend in a public place, I am more than willing to write him off for good.
