Russians in Atlanta?

A

This really isn't about radio per se but I am told there is a sizeable Russian community in the Atlanta metro. Perhaps someone reading these boards might know something about it. Is it concentrated in a particular area or spread out across the metro. I know the Asian community seems concentrated in Gwinett County but I know very little about the Russian community in and around Atlanta.

Thanks for any insights.

Don't know, but I bet HD channels will begin to program to a cornucopia of ethnic communities when, or if, the receivers ever make it into cars as standard equipment.

I play tennis with an old-school Russian who struggles with English and, swear to God, he told me his favorite radio station was "790 da zun".

There is a large Russian community around Toco Hills in Dekalb County. But the biggest concentration is again in the Duluth area of Gwinnett.
