Rusty Humphries?

Did I miss something?
When did KTAR start broadcasting Humphries' show?

I'm surprised it hasn't been debated on this board yet. Maybe your waiting for him to do his show from Israel again?

I heard him last weekend and didn't realize he was new. Of course, I don't listen much to any talk station on the weekend.

Not a bad show, but not one I would tune in to on purpose.

About when they started Phil Hendrie. TRN shoves all kinds of crap down your throat. You'd think the Blogger, er Programmer, on Central would have the cajones to say no to such bad programming. At least it's just his Saturday show.

BTW, I love it when stations do this:
3-5 p.m. Rusty Humphries (Temporary)

I'm sure the listeners appreciate knowing that it's "temporary". Kind of like brokered-time stations that put "For Sale, call So-and-so" for unsold hours.

Yeah, they started about three or four weeks ago. I really don't want to hear syndicated talk on weekends. Don't like them playing "Best of Ankarlo" on Saturdays either.

I saw this too... I guess Russ wants to make sure that people understand the word "temporary" means "...we'll keep with this schedule until someone even more full of **** comes along!"

Want to know the funniest thing about all of this....I caught Humphries defending Michael Savage! Yes, that Savage on KFYI! He even played a soundbite from Savage's show! I'm sure Russ enjoyed that!

Maybe someone should cut and paste the word "temporary" on Mr. Hill's office door!

What's interesting is that the Humphries and Savage shows are syndicated by the same company.

An interesting trend in this forum:

It's amazing to see how some folks here seem to rate a Talk Radio Show as "good" or "bad" based almost entirely on whether they ideologically or politically agree with the host or not.... :-\ ;) ;D ::) ???

ktar... oop's. ::) i mean, fm news talk 92.3 only airs rusty on saturdays. but it's not rusty's saturday show. ??? i'm pretty sure they tape delay his regular show from the previous day.

i'd rather hear local programming. ed phillips' swap shop would be a better listen. ;D j/k. a lifestyle show for the valley would be interesting.

trn hosts seem to spend alot of time interviewing each other, Jerry Doyle was interviewed as "financial expert" on the Humpty Dumpty show, etc. Humpty Dumpty has a good little side business as a "Christian Zionist" (his term) and running trips to Israel, mideast etc. for listeners.

just to clarify, my rating is based on prior experience producing that show. Rusty and I have never agreed on much, let alone whether his show is any better than someone else.

As for Savage, he is a true waste of air-time. And that's a compliment!

Rusty must be so entertaining that they continue to re-play the same show over, and over again. I tuned in a for a quick minute on Saturday and heard the show where he 'bravely' defends Michael Savage.

i was listening to my favorite, michael savage on 550 kfyi :) now, i'm hearing the rusty humphries show after the 9pm kfyi / fox news update ???

rusty's cheesy production is hard to listen to, but he does ok talk radio ;)

i'd rather be listening to savage though

humphrey - savage switch got flipped 25 minutes later ;D

this is our top talk station ???

so if this is automation problem at kfyi, does this mean all their evening newcasts are prerecorded hours ahead of time ???

maybe the lousy trn techs were sending the wrong feed, who knows ???
