Keep Him In Your Prayers

Consultant Rusty Walker In Critical Condition Following Heart Attack
Radio-Info.com sends get well wishes to veteran country radio consultant Rusty Walker, who is in critical condition in the intensive care unit at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was struck by an apparent heart attack on Saturday. According to his daughter, Nikki Darwin Clark, Walker was on a bike ride when he "suffered heart complications due to a 100% blocked artery." At the hospital, she reports, Walker "had to be shocked 14 times." Walker and his family just endured the loss of teenage daughter Kinsley Darwin in March. Walker is an inductee in the Country Radio Hall of Fame and a beloved member of the country music community. His family is requesting prayers for his recovery.

Update: On Sunday morning, Clark reports that her father is sedated and not yet responding to commands as the family awaits a neurological report. She writes, "Please pray that today he can keep up the fight and start responding."

I've had Rusty as a consultant at several stations. He is a truly great guy and I'm keeping him and his family in my prayers.

Just got the news that Rusty didn't make it. Rusty passed this morning at a Tupelo, MS hospital. Keep his wife Teresa, and daughters Beth and Nikki in your prayers. Rusty was a great programmer and will be sorely missed!
