RXP

I called RXP today to request a Fall Out Boy or 30 Seconds to Mars song, I asked them do you play any of those artists? They said yes. and they would play Fall Out Boy for me. I was suprised considering they don't play alternative at all.

Translation: They more than likely had a song from Fall Out Boy coming up in the pre-scheduled playlist.

However, I just checked Yes' log for WRXP in the PM hours, and neither of the above two artists were listed. Yet, I did find about six different Stone Temple Pilots songs played during that twelve-hour time frame.

No alternative, you say? WRXP is alternative - an alternative to good, organized radio.

Fall Out Boy are a boy band with guitars. Most true alternative fans do not think highly of Fall Out Boy. Now, whether they would fit in 'RXP's playlist- who knows.

Fall Out Boy are alternative like Olive Garden is Italian.

Fall Out Boy isn't even together anymore
Usually, KROQ and KYSR in LA would play their "new singles" for a few weeks back when they weren't so 90's crazy and them drop them. So now that they're not even making anymore new music, there's really no need to play them anymore on any alternative station.

WRXP is clueless.  They should just drop rock altogether and switch to an acid and acid house (exclusively) format.  It'd at least solve their tsl problem.

They could even avoid licensing fees by buying a tb-303 and tr-606 and a recorder and justing hiring someone to turn knobs on it and then replay it other times of the day.  No dj's, no talkings, and a hard edge that anyone in Ozone Park can blare from their tcar they're standing next to and still feel tough.

They never broke up they're on a hiatus. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be played on the radio. Tons of bands such as The Beatles and other bands have broken up and they're still played on the radio.
