In my continued quest to find more unique acts getting terrestrial radio spins, I did a Yes.com search for one of my favorite alt country/roots rockers, Ryan Adams.

Apart from the expected AAA spins, it appears his song Everybody Knows got airplay on country stations WJMQ in Wisconsin and WXLZ in Lebanon,VA. Anyone know any other country outlets taking chances on some of the "alternative" artists and the Americana genre?
 
ryan has made so much material over the last couple of years that it's been hard to keep track. I should try and lsiten to him more.
 
Some of the stations in Louisiana (where I live) spin a lot of the country-alternative known as "texas country" but I've heard some spinning Hank Williams III and Shooter Jennings... But Ryan Adams is unknown in the south where AAA is not as heard as well, as the two I mention, both tour the south hard appealing to the "Redneck" crowd... Outside of the major cities (such as New Orleans' House of Blues) Ryan's not as well known, as well as he leans more folk sounding for country fans at times
