Ryan Seacrest was bitten by a Shark

On his KIIS-FM radio show Monday, Ryan Seacrest said he decided to take a dip in the ocean over the weekend when, he said, "I was bit by a shark!" There were like 1,000 people in the ocean, and I get bit by the shark!"

WSNE almost had the shortest lived afternoon show ever. LOL

Shark must've heard his show
Actually I bet stranger things have nibbled at his toes

The story isn't even big out here, except for the "freaky odds" of anything like that happening. He was a few feet from shore, it was a mini shark and it lost a tooth when it bit him. He actually thought it was a piece of driftwood.

Best one I heard was on one the morning shows here in town (Nashville)

"It was determined that both Seacrest and the shark were man eaters"

Nock

Maybe the shark tooth left in Seacrest was diseased and will give him some weird illness that ultimately kills him. How's that for thinking negative.... or thinking positive depending on who you ask. ;D

I think it's funny how most everyone on this board is busting on Seacrest, but if anyone here had the opportunity to do what he is, and make the money he is, we all would!! I wanted to hate his show on KIIS/LA, but I listened to it while I was there and liked it...IMO, it's a great CHR morning show. I listen to the show regularly online.

Do I think it sucks that voicetracking and syndication are killing the industry? Yes. But I don't hate those that are being given the opportunity to do it...because if it wasn't Seacrest, it would be someone else!!

I don't like Seacrest because that TV show he had was dreadful. He was absolutely horrible. Not an interesting personality at all in my book. Ever since then I just haven't been able to get into him. I used to live in LA where there were actually people I did like. Rick Dees was decent, Jay Thomas is good and even Mark and Brian wern't totally bad. But Seacrest I just can't get into. Do I admire his position? Damn right I do. I would be a liar to say that I didn't. He's got a great career going for himself. But personally I find the guy's on air persona a bore.

Which one? Doesn't he have like eight or nine? Isn't it the overexposure factor that is the very reason most of us despise him?

MisterMirco. - couldn't have said it better myself. I would venture to guess there's NO ONE on this board within the Coast demo, therefore it's a moot point.

Now if there was a personality who's demo was wannabes and ex board-ops... this would be the place!

Normally I only post when I have some knowledge about the topic, but here's one time I'm not ashamed to be
utterly and blissfully ignorant..

WHO? Ryan WHO? I haven't been a TV "watcher" since the ealy 80's, and if it weren't for someone mentioning
American Idol, I'd be clueless. I've never seen it, not even once.
I wonder, (but not really), what he did on American Idol.

He hosts American Idol. Supposedly one of the most highly rated Television shows on the air. That fact I do believe. EVERYBODY seems to watch it. However (not because of Ryan) I personally hate that amateur hour! It wouldn't make a difference who hosted it. I'm just not fan of the show. If I want to see bad Karaoke I will go to the local bar and at least have the pleasure of watching the bad singing while under the influence.

Ryan now also hosts ABC's "Rockin Eve" on New Years eve since Dick had his stroke. Dick Clark loves the guy. (I am clueless as to why). Then of course Ryan also does his morning show on KIIS FM. Ryan has one thing going for him. He's got a great work ethic. He hosts about 90 shows (slight exaggeration). But he does seem to be around every corner.

I'm not saying that I hate him on a personal level. He could be a great guy in person. But he's just never impressed me with his hosting abilities. He has always seemed very bland and makes me want to put something interesting on instead.
