I've learned never to trust the trends too much. It's what they do with the weighting after the book ends that counts. That said, there are sure no surprises here.

BTW, kudos to Xavier and the rest of the crew at 92.5. It's nice to see an indie owner in the Top 10.

Did anybody notice that 105.7 The Walrus just tied with FM 94.9 and Rock 105.3 and beat 91X, New Country 95.7, 102.1 KPRI, and Sophie 103.7 in the latest trend?

Those are 12+ numbers too so I'll bet they did even better than that in the older demos. Congrats to Dave Mason and Frank Anthony!

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the PPM in SD. K-Earth 101 is the number 2 station in LA with the PPM in effect, though, so obviously oldies are making a comeback in So Cal.

And congrats to Walrus PD Bob Harlow as well. 105.7 is moving up everytime and now with a 2.3 12 plus as stated above is beating a lot of bigger signals.

Yes! Way to go Mr. Harlow! Bob knows what he's doing and is a nice guy on top of it.

In 25-54, the sales demo range, they are 18th, moving from an equally weak 24th in the Fall survey period.

KRTH, which has moved more and more into the 70's, is 4th in the last two weeklies in 12+, but are 11th 25-54 in the most recent report and 9th in the most recent book.

The PPM does tend to assist oldies and classic hits stations, but the key is getting demos under 55.

At least there's some radio stations us over 34-ers can listen to.

I listen to XM Sirius for the boomer music channels. No commercials. Casey
Kasem's old countdown shows are on XM7 and XM8 on Sunday nights.
Hear a lot of hits that haven't been played in decades.

CBS Radio blew it by changing to Sophie instead of oldies.

HD Radio we can afford, but there's no HD2 channels 'cept for
KPBS HD2 and HD3. The rest are for the kids who don't care for HD Radio.
What a programming waste.

Fry's can't sell HD Radio even in Murphy Canyon. Can't get any HD Radio signals there.

Oldies on HD2 is what's needed. I'll take Radio Margaritaville music on HD2 too.
