I'm sure that if they're using encoders for KOSC (old KUSF) and KDFC in Angwin then they're certainly going to use an encoder for KXSC (104.9), but maybe they don't have it installed yet. I expect that KXSC will match or outpull KOSC because of its superior signal and large population area. I don't think that people in the Southbay hate classical music, even if their symphony went bankrupt 10 years ago. Still they managed to cobble together another live classical orchestra, so I think there's interest down there in the genre.

...if you consider 13th place and 2 full points behind KCBS (2.7 behind KQED) working...

True if your in the Top 10 stations the more money flows into a station in Advertising. But at least they KGO didn't fluctuate any further since December 2011.

KMVQ gets a 4.9 in the books.

What's with KSAN's slide? Can't remember the last time they had a 1.7 and were beaten by everyone else in the format.

even odder: KFOG remained stable with a 2.6 -- I was sure the Morning Show trainwreck would've made them take at least a slight dip. Maybe Live 105 (which plays songs upwards of 12-15 times a day) drove some listeners to KFOG (which plays those same songs only 6 or 7 times a day). ::)

Dennis has to be looking over his shoulder...KFOG's stable, but that 2.6 can't translate into much in the demo rankings.

Oh, and I should have added that Cumulus has probably been calling all the shots from Atlanta...and when the time comes, they'll put all the blame on Dennis.

There are people who claim KGO's billings are in the dumper, according to inside sources.

From about $35 million annual billings in the pre-recession years, KGO was down last year to just above $15 million in gross revenue. It can only be less this year.

How can you say that? In the sales demos, it is around 25th with something in the vicinity of a one-share.

I concur! No way is News and Information on KGO working! 2.7 in 6+ means nothing! KGO trails the KCBS simulcast by a full 2 points in 6+. It's probably a lot more in key sales demos. KGO would do well to get $10MM in ad revenue this year. :)

The only moves that will revive KGO is the addition of an FM signal, a new GM, PD, National and Local Sales Manager's, along with total
local control over what the station is producing.
Most importantly!!!
A total hands off policy by the Dickey's in Atlanta! Ha! Ha!
#1. I know so don't say it, like that could or ever would happen in this lifetime!
KGO was a good friend to the city and beyond, but has lost its way!
The only way to save it now is for a new company to own it!
See #1!
Maybe David E is open to run it for them! Or David Kaye?

ABSOLUTELY!!! The Dickeys ruined KGO! The talk station that showed everyone else how to do local talk is in shambles! Disgraceful!
