S.O.F. - R.I.P.

Hi everyone! I wish I didn't have to tell you guys this, but unfortunately, SOF (Sounds Of Faith) is officially no more. I attempted to listen to the stream yesterday morning Sun. 2/18/2018 while I was getting ready for church, and the stream no longer works anymore. Lately, the stream hasn't been working prior to yesterday morning. This past Christmas in 2017, for the 1st time ever, the stream wasn't working during that entire time. Usually, they played Christmas music every year between Thanksgiving & New Year's, not this past year unfortunately. A couple of weeks ago, the stream was back to normal for a brief time. They were playing patriotic songs. The last song I remember hearing was the patriotic song "This Is My Country". The airplay was sometime during the week, not on a Sunday morning, since SOF was a 24/7 Internet only stream based off of the original Sounds Of Faith radio show that was an Atlanta tradition from 1972-2009 on 94.9 from the Peach era to the Lite FM era and into the Bull era. SOF was an Athens, GA tradition on WMSL 88.9 from 1987-2012. Then they went Internet only so WMSL could go a more contemporary route similar to 104.7 THE FISH WFSH-FM and JOY FM 93.3-102.1 WVFJ-WWWD therefore 88.9 THE REACH was born. SOF, the radio show existed for a total of 45 years. Now WMSL is under the same ownership JOY FM 93.3-102.1 is under, RTN (Radio Training Network). SOF's website http://www.soundsoffaith.net/ no longer exists anymore. When you do a Google search for "Sounds Of Faith", SoundsOfFaith.net does not come up in the search results. I'm okay with PABCCS (Prince Ave. Baptist Church & Christian School) selling WMSL to RTN; I just wish SOF's 24/7 Internet only stream didn't have to become a victim if this was the case. SOF may have moved out of WMSL's studios at PABCCS off of US 78 & Ruth Jackson Rd. in Bogart south of GA 316 back in 2012. I don't know this for sure. I do know that when SOF went Internet only, they established a PO Box separate from WMSL's PO Box. WMSL's PO Box is in Athens; SOF's PO Box was in Bethlehem, GA south of Winder & GA 316. If RTN's takeover of WMSL did not effect SOF, then the only other reason for SOF discontinuing would be because the founder & main personality of SOF, Jim Hutto passed away. I don't know if he passed away. If Jim Hutto did pass away, he will definitely be greatly missed. SOF (Sounds Of Faith) will also be greatly missed. A loss of a great radio station does not make a good birthday present. It doesn't even make a good Christmas present. Today Mon. 2/19/2018, I turn 30 years old. I live, SOF dies, and possibly Jim Hutto dies. :(
