SU Sports Get New FM Radio Home:

Apr 23, 2007 - Syracuse University athletics will have a new radio home beginning with the 2007 football season, announced Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross. Galaxy Communications’ TK99 (99.5FM, WTKW) will serve as the flagship station for the Syracuse ISP Sports Network. Gross and Galaxy President and CEO Ed Levine developed the partnership that includes the broadcast of Syracuse football, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse, in addition to promotional opportunities surrounding the games. The press release I saw said they will do 8 hours of coverage on game day! Now call me crazy but does that seem a little over the top to anyone out there? 8 hours on a music station, yep, let's tube the f%^&*r!! What is Ed not thinking on this?

Yes, like everyone in Syracuse is saying but not thinking, Levine just shot himself in the foot with this one. It was bad enough when there was an hour of pre and post game, lets make it a day long event and eat up all your inventory! Smooth fellas. Finally Galaxy has done enough to themselves to let 95X climb back up!
On a side note, when did K-Rock become Cannon-Rock? Is it just me or does that guy infuse his own ego way too much into everything that station does?
That's PD power+ Giant Ego= Shitty ratings.
