SA PPM's were released today

From radioinsight.com-

Country continues to dominate the SA dial

The Beat and Energy are both up.

104.5 continues to be the lowest rated station with 100,000 watts in the market. As for low power FM's, G103.3, is up slightly. The others remain the same or slightly down.

Maybe 104.5 could try a local or regional-orientted format like Americana, or Tejano to compete with KXTN.

KXTN has a very old and difficult to monetize audience; Tejano is a format that is barely alive anywhere in the state.

KXTN is barely 20th in 18-49 in the market; there is even a translator that beats it.

I can't think of an Americana launch in the last thirty or more years that had any kind of success. It is not a format for a commercial station... LPFM maybe.

Maybe Alt 104.5 with Alternative? We have lots of classic rock but not too much new rock.

Second on that. I miss hearing bands that 103.3 the App played in San Antonio.

It's unlikely Alternative makes it's way to SA when the format is struggling in NY, Miami, Orlando, Dallas and other major markets.

My thoughts- Hot AC or Rhythmic AC would fit well between Q1019 and 961Now.

Super Tejano in the RGV indeed looks to be on a bit of a downward path, even if the signal is pretty limiting. But what's the story with KSAB? Their 6+ numbers look good (looks like they topped the book last Spring). Are they doing something different with their playlist, or does that market skew much older and this is just an outcome of that?
