SA PPM's

Top 5-
Y100
KONO
Mix 96.1
KJ97
WOAI.

With little to no competition, Mix 96.1 continues to climb.

The Beat (Down to 3.8), Yo! 95.1(Up 2.8), Hot 104.5 (Down 2.3) and to a degree KTFM (Down 2.6) are fighting for the same demo. Huh?

Alpha Media needs to do something with the cluster. KTSA & KZDC haven't benefited from the FM translators. With all of the hype of an Alternative station on 103.3, still showing no results. KTFM needs a new direction. The station hasn't done any better than the last PD in place. And it's not a signal problem cause it was #1 when the format was Classic Jamz. Alpha Media needs to clean house and bring people that are 100% devoted to their stations. I could be wrong and cluster is bringing descent cash flow. Who knows.

Numbers are 6+

I'm sorry, but Mix has no competition?!? The Beat, the frequency misplaced KTFM, and K-Zep's Hot mess are all targeting many of the same listeners as 96-1. I've got to disagree. Mix is holding its own, despite the onslaught from other areas of the dial.

Speaking of the Hot Mess, what was K-Zep's final # as classic rock? Wasn't the station ranked higher then, than it is now?

...and I hate to say it, but the only "hype" The App got was around here. That was vanquished when the damn thing sat dormant for a week, whilst Alpha made repairs to the station. No promos, no billboards, nothing. I haven't seen one mention of 103-3 in town. Only right here, amongst ourselves. Same with K-Zep's translator. Why is there no promotion of the station still existing? There's billboards everywhere emblazoned with the Hot Mess, but nary so much as a yard sale sized sign telling San Antonians "Hey, K-Zep still lives at 93-3!"

It's enough to make you plug in the auxiliary jack and start the shuffle on the phone. Oh wait, I already did!

But hey, this is what research tells those in charge what's best for the listening audience. How would the actual members of said audience know any better than a carefully devised survey sample?

Edit to add: BTW, why is SA's PPM topic in the "dance" section? Getting a little too excited over Energy 96-9, saradio? Lol.
