SA Ratings are out

Just a passing observation here, about KLTO. Little is being invested in this station in the way of marketing or innovative programming. So the question remains, was it worth all the trouble and expense to move the thing from Cuero?

With no surprise Q101.9 is the big winner.

The Beat and KTFM see positive numbers. KXXM holding steady.

X106.7 still competing with our lowest rated radio stations in the market.

Question Why is Houston's Sunny 99.1 KODA included in the San Antonio ratings? How can they measure the listeners of KODA in San Antonio? Does this data included people who stream online? 99.1 is a hard signal to pick up during the daytime, I remember wanting to be able to pick up 99.1 on my moms car stereo when I was 8. Now KTRH I could understand.

KISS is still losing numbers. I wonder when they'll get their act together.

KISS needs to move their rock format to 101.1 Rebill it as Rock 101 KISS and hire Walton and Johnson. Play more currents and not be so classic, add a metal show, and have an Underground Garage Show.

Glad to see that 1067 is still struggling as well as Kiss. When will these fools ever wake up and go alternative? Even though it struggles nationwide, I believe an alt Rock would kill here since we've been deprived forever. I like the idea of the frequency swapps too. Kiss does need more modern/currents instead of classics. I've said it before and I'll say it again. What's with the older music in this town? Are we screwed forever because of the demographics in sa? Or is it all just political and they're just putting on what they think the majority of us like?

If KODA shows up in the San Antonio book, it means that metered panelists in the SA market have listened to it. Remember that the SA metro survey area is 8 counties, and perhaps KODA can be heard better in, let's say, Guadalupe County. Or, perhaps, enough SA panelists drive to the Houston area, or nearer to it, where they listen. Any listening by a SA panelist will be reported.

The fact that KODA only shows with a 0.1 share and with a cume of 12,000 indicates that this may be two or maybe three panelists... and since they showed in only one of the 4 weeks, that suggests it may be a family from the SA metro that drove to houston and listend a lot during just a couple of days.

A stream of a SA market station would be identified as a stream, as I don't think any Top 50 market commercial station has a 100% simulcast on their stream, so the stream has to be listed separately.

Would the same logic explain KRNH's showing, i.e. an SA family weekending in Kerrville with the radio on all the time?

I suppose it's possible. However, I'd think the most probable answer is a panelist or two in Kendall County listen to KRNH quite frequently. The first KRNH billboard (or at least the first two years ago) was along I-10 just after crossing into Kendall County, and the station came in just fine in Boerne.
