Sacramento October PPM

I just noticed ratings posted for Sacto.

KFBK back on top. No doubt due to election coverage.

98Rock #1 music station. Entercom has 3 of top 5 stations.

I've worked in all 3 broadcaster buildings and was nearly a lifer in this crazy biz until about a year ago. Let me tell you. Ratings help, but its revenue that feeds the corporate beasts. When I see ppm/ratings posts its a big yawn for me. What about the miller kaplan reports? Which stations are making the most money?

Successful station ratings do not make a successful station.

KSFM must've had a good book and they might be in striking distance of overtaking KDND.

As for KHHM, well, it looks like at this rate one gets the feeling that their days may be numbered after seeing this book.

KHHM's days were numbered two years ago when they started airing Big Boy in the morning. Even after dumping that show this year, their ratings are still a joke.

I just noticed the latest Sac. ratings too. Did you see how bad HOT 103 did this time around? Looks like their recent changes didn't work. Maybe they need to bring Benny Siegel back! Word from inside the building indicates a forthcoming PD change and possibly a change in upper level management within the company.

Its a great time to be in radio!
