Sacramento PBS station KVIE launches third multicast channel
KVIE's third multicast channel, called KVIE 3, includes programming from Create and World Channel.
The channel, called KVIE 3, is the third multicast offering of its kind to originate from KVIE (Channel 6) on digital television, which also offers the main KVIE signal and the spillover channel KVIE 2.
KVIE 3 will offer Create programming from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day, while programming from World Channel is offered in the remaining hours. World Channel was previously carried on KVIE Channel 6.3 until February 2, when KVIE 3 took its place on digital broadcast TV.
KVIE, KVIE 2 and the 24-hour national feeds of World Channel and Create are offered on the KVIE website and PBS app for viewers in the Sacramento TV market, while KVIE 3 will be exclusive to broadcast TV and digital cable for now.
Its the local feed for Create.
