Well it couldnt be any more noticble seeming that the PD at KSFM is stating in the promos " Sacramento's Most Imitated Radio Station" and sorts of similar lines or hearing the Jocks OVER DO NUMBR 1!!!!!!!. - but i got a question for some of you radio-heads, does KBMB have any affiliation with clear channel? i noticed they have a EX JOCK SHORT-E on The Bomb, and i also noticed they are promoting summer jam. - also i would like too say ksfm is winning the war at this point.

The reason KSFM can make that claim is because of three things: Heritage, more listeners and a powerful signal, so that works in their favor.

As for KBMB, they are not owned by Clear Channel(Entravision owns the station). But they can hold their own ratings wise.

Yeah they've been having their wars. Sometimes its kind of funny. The one that stands out is when 102.5 started announcing their Cinco de Mayo concert that they do every year with artists like the NB Ridaz, Baby Bash, Frankie J, Natalie, etc... The concert has grown to a pretty good size, and then 103.5 wanted in so they announced they were having a concert with the same lineup (and a couple others more) and it was going down at a secret location. Then when 102.5 found out about it and that they were actually giving away tickets to Wild 94.9's concert, they made a promo that talked directly about it. They said 103.5 claims they have a concert, but it's not even in Sacramento. They went on to explain that it was a concert in the Bay Area o Wild 94.9's event. They even said "don't believe us?" "Go to wild949.com and see for yourself." It was kind of funny. I'm sure there is more on the way. I also heard that once upon a time a certain dance station had a semi-playful water balloon war in the streets of Sacramento with 102.5 in which a water balloon apparently made it into 102.5's Humvee. They were pretty cool about it though. :)

yeah, it seems odd hearing the show they have on sundays, i dont know its not really a " hip-hop" station, because instead of playing Keisha Cole there play Rhianna, and so on. - but KSFM signal reaches all the way up too reno and all the way too berkeley. - so i guess they got it there, I personally dont like alot of the djs at KSFM, the djs at KBMB sound more hip-hop authentic.
