Sad news again

Sorry to hear that Thomas Boggs passed away this morning.

I'm sure that many of us have spent a lot of time (and money) at Huey's.

Thomas was a good friend to radio.

With all these recent passings, I'm really feeling a sense of mortality. I remember first meeting Thomas when I was at FM100. I was kind of starstruck, him being with the BoxTops, and me being a fan back in the 60's. Thomas was a part of our FM100 softball team. I think we called ourselves the "Foul Balls". Conley or Presto might remember. McKeever and I would walk to Hueys and have those wonderful Huey burgers and pound down a few before heading home or back to work. Our bar bill was always more than our food bill though. Any time I had family or friends in town, we'd head to Hueys and Thomas would never let us pay for a meal or drink. Nice guy, classy guy, a friend that will be missed.

I never met Thomas personally, but I've always had great respect for all he has created for Memphis.

In that sense, He will be greatly missed.

RIP
