Your right thats what I meant to say. From my understanding KFXM is a Low Power FM. All LPFMs are non-commercial and operate like other public radio. Thus actual ads would be illegal. They can run underwriting that does not try to sell or contains a call to action.
So far no underwriting commercial And no I'd at the top of the hour. Back to stunt mode. Egads
>WHEW!<... But haven't heard any Anne Murray or Bee Gees...![]()
I hope it's a sign of things to come my co-workers loved the music that was playing today. Maybe the expanded playlist is just during the day but it's a great way to bring KFXM back on line. Right now they are playing 60's music. So I'm going to bed. Let's hope when I get up the expanded playlist is up and running again.I've been listening all day today (Monday 10-3-2022) for about 10 hours. It pretty much sounds like the old KFXM, with perhaps a somewhat expanded playlist into later years. Still some of the quirky stuff I love. Like the Star Wars theme playing right now. No underwriting ads or ID's the whole time. Just solid music. And yes, also some country stuff, as you would hear on the Sunday morning Ride in the Country songs show. So basically a very wide variety of stuff, which works for me. But haven't heard any Anne Murray or Bee Gees...![]()
It's pretty much a hobby station. Once you assemble the electronics, and put together some form of program automation the expenses are limited.I assume the transmitter is still down. They can't be putting this over the air. And while it's a wonderful steam, how does it get paid for? It can't go on like this for too long, can it?
