I decided to do a little experiment tonight (Friday, 12/29) to see how quickly the local stations could post the news of Sadaam Hussein's execution on their websites. This is major breaking news of international significance and thought it might be interesting to see the station responses.
As of 9:30 pm, well after the news broke on the networks and cable, all of the locals had posted stories on their sites with the exception of ABC 15. 15 had nothing new -- only a dated story about the pending execution for sometime this weekend. I guess everyone at 15 is still partying or on vacation.
This also gave me a chance to view all of the stations' internet offerings. I must say that Fox 10 has really improved their website.
Who do you all think has the best website? Most professional looking and/or easiest to navigate? Let's face it, the websites are now extensions of their newscasts and are a reflection of the station to many viewers.
