FWIW, they work in the Saga cluster in Des Moines, and I don't know why they'd make the story up (it's not like I have a horse in this race or really care.)
A couple of possiblities:
1)They didn't know what they were talking about
2)You're not in the loop, but think you are
I really don't know which is the case, as I don't have any idea as to what your credentials are, and if you'd be in a position to intelligently contradict my source.
My source isn't that high up, I wouldn't imagine, the Saga power ladder. The fact that he knew some very specific information (which I haven't, nor will I post here) makes me think it must be fairly valid info and must be fairly common knowledge. To be quite frank, he's not creative enough to make some of it up, I wouldn't imagine. Therefore, I'm fairly confident, but wouldn't wager my next paycheck on it.
The board can draw it's conclusions. I'm certainly not going to lose sleep, and before long we'll all know without any remaining question who knew what about whom.
